Transmétaux, a trusted family business
Transmétaux is a metal company created in 1971 by Mr Bal and Mr Philippe Close. Mr Bal was initially in charge of the daily management, later followed by his son Michel Bal. At this time, the company focused mainly on the collection of non-ferrous metals.
In February 2012, the company was taken over by Mr Vincent Mattelaer, who had already been active in the sector for over 35 years. He gave the company a new lease on life and added ferrous metal collection and international trading to the list of services it offered.
